More Flooding in London

So we went on an adventure with out new Double Steering Stunt Kite today, in Greenway Park. Stay tuned for the vide tomorrow ... I'm serious... really I am, ha ha ha.

But seriously we did take a trip and take some photos of the flooding through out London today!

Watched and interesting movie tonight. Paycheck, with Uma Therman and Ben Affleck. I contested it in the video store, but am glad that we rented it. Solid 8 out of 10. The CGI was cool, Uma was a dissapointment, definatly not Kill Bill. The plot was fast and futuristic but believable..in an X-Men sorta way.

We had Gino's pizza tonight, my devirginizing experience, I might add. It was excellent! 9 out of 10, would have been a 10 with one more topping. This one was pineapple, ham, extra sauce, thick crust, needed mushrooms for the 10 but damn it was good!

More posts tomorrow! Enjoy the Photos.

The Flood in London Parks

So yesterday Chris and I went out an bought a kite with intentions of going to Harris park to fly it well.... the photos tell all! We are going to attempt more adventures with the Kite today, no guarantees though especially with the fact that is rained again last night!

On Saturday when the weather was furious and we really wanted to go out we went out playing in the Jeep instead. Our intentions were to go get some cool pictures of the weather. However, our intentions and our actions were a little different. We ended up in the bush north of the city playing in the Jeep. I posted a few pics from when we were stuck. This was one of the rare opportunities to actually take a picture since the rest of the time you are bouncing all over the place. Note to all women who go on 4 x 4ing adventures... Sports bras are required! The bounce factor after 20 mins in the Jeep on uneven terrain is equal to running a marathon with no bra at all! No the most comfortable event!

Well today is the last day of the 2-4 weekend enjoy it while you can!

So I JUST WON A TV!

Can you believe it! Me, a winner...lol I am sure GoodLife thinks a little differently! But that is besides the point.

Back to the TV that I just won... A Sharp Aquos and a Lord Of The Rings Return of the King DVD! Now I will probably never watch the DVD since I fell asleep in the theaters during the first one, but I sure will watch the TV!!!!

Pretty cool way to start a long weekend I think!

So you ask ..."How did I win?" Well it is quite simple I am an FM 96 Freeloader! It's a tough job winning free stuff but someone has to do it :)

So go to the site sign up and the chances of you winning are highly probable, this is the 2nd time that I have won and the first time it was Sum 41 concert tickets at Wasaga Beach!

So that is all for now, enjoy the long weekend!

For the Google Master

I recall he was looking for an online BMI calculator... . Hope this one cuts it.

A Must Add to Favourites Link

So i was meandering my way through the internet today... well Google to be specific, and came across this amazing site... all you have to do to find the perfect drink for summer is type in a word of choice and then make a choice. Or for kicks try putting in your own ingredients! There are several other sites in this realm enjoy!

So for those of us who have had the privledge of working with/for the Americans we all know how messed up they are, well this site proves it!

Wanna cool job? How about working for Google?

Well that is the entry for today. Gonna go out for a ride in a bit.

Happy Blog

So it has been a bit since I sat down and rambled, no time liek the present :)

Went and saw Kill Bill vol 2 last night with Chris. I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10!
In comparison to Volume one there was very little violence. But when it was there it gouged at the pit of your gut with relentlis satisfation! Yuck!
The plot on the other hand did an indredible job of clarifying the volume one's unanswered questions.
Uma was awesome, as was
David Carradine... he is sexy in a strange kick your
ass kinda way.

Uploaded some new pics to the Photo Blog. Most of them are from Yesterday when i got to take care of Caelan for a couple hours. He is great. It is amazing how calming kids can be. You really have no choice to be anything other than calm, otherwise you can't possibly understand them. Not to mention keep up with them.

Congratulations!! To my cousin Jason and his wife Dawn on the birth of their first beautiful baby daughter Madalyn Yvonne . Born on May 14th at 11:09pm. Almost 12 days late :)

Thanks to Princess Joanna for the Tips on London Gas Prices!

So I have been known to paint the odd painting. Painted this One a while ago.

Well Gonna go watch some Law and Order SVU

Beer + Pub Crawl + No Coat Check = Stolen Jacket!

So went out on a pub crawl last night... Chris and the ladies as it were. Started at the Lawyer, which I must say has gone through some renovations and it is looking awesome. We had a few bevies there and waited for the rest of the ladies to arrive. While we were there this amazing 2 piece band played... I believe they were called Pro Wally's. They were simply two voices and a guitar. Very very well done gentleman.

So after everyone arrived and was comfortably numb so to speak, we all meandered our way through the streets and alleys of downtown London to the Thorny Devil. It's a weird bar above Robinson Hall, but the atmosphere is great. We stayed till the lights came on then as we went to leave realized that Chris's jacket had been ripped off!!! Not too impressed since it was all of maybe 10 degrees out! It appears that he was not the only one, seems that several people got theirs taken as well. I can say that this will be the last visit there for a while!

Either way the nite was fun, and it will happen again soon I presume.

Happy Sunday

Still Employed

Well the saga continues and I am still employed. I dunno apparently now I am being transferred to another club. Who the hell knows at this point!

Oh ya, I slightly shanged the title of the blog for all you viewers who search by title!

Today is the beginning of the rest of your life...

Or at least the beginning of the weekend!

So Rupert won the Million, finally justice for those who don't compromise their personal values to get what they want.

So I have a meeting today with the venomous boss from hell. I suspect that today I am going to finally get the boot. It might have something to do with the fact that I sent an email off to her yesterday asking her to either give me a status on my job or terminate me but stop stringing me along! Well either I get severance or I get a lawyer I guess ultimately the choice is up to her. I have been doing some research on wrongful dismissal and I think I have pretty solid ground to stand on! Time will tell.

On a brighter note, I have a pretty solid double interview with Thrifty Car Rental and Sales this morning. Sounds like an interesting entry level position with an opportunity to move. We will see I suppose.

Found this link courtesy of a link off a link off a blog from live journal, Add music to your site!

Either way, try not to suffocate in the smog today!

3rd Ride of the Week

Albeit this is the first one that I have blogged about. The first one I got me ass kicked by the Google Master aka Lance fanatic! One thing is for sure working at a gym makes you terribly out of shape! I miss call center life and the health that came with it!

The 2nd ride was yesterday, 20km on the nose and very very wet! After the huge rain storm the other day the bike paths were covered in H2O of varying depths. The final one that we attempted to conquer was mid calf while pedaling. It was at that puddle that we determined with soggy socks and all that we needed to turn back. Needless to say this morning when I donned my shoes for today's ride the glorious sun had dried them out! Kinda like the itsy bitsy spider :)

So today's ride... 27.93km, the progression is obvious! I figure by end of June I will be able to keep up to him full fledge. I would love to do a London To Port Stanley ride this summer, and hopefully, schedule permitting, the MS Bike Tour from Grand Bend to London and back. I have done it before and it was awesome. Not to mention that you rainse money for a great charity and meet a lot of great riders!

Either way I am glad that the warm weather has finally arrived again, I love the new road tires that I have on my Katmandu, I am looking to shed some weigh from it though, likely lose the suspension seat post and possibly the front shocks.... Although I am still contemplating that one.

That is it for the moment, far to nice to be inside, gonna get out of the sweaty cycling gear and slip into something a little more summer like.

Enjoy the gorgeous weather.

:)

Please Be patient with me...

I am in a phase that involves doing stupid quizes to find out what kind of _________ I am. At this moment I am a kiss...

entrancing
You have an entrancing kiss~ the kind that leaves
your partner bedazzled and maybe even feeling
he/she is dreaming. Quite effective; the kiss
that never lessens and always blows your
partner away like the first time.
What type of kiss are you?

And aparently I need therapy, well duh as if I didn't already know that...

Holy Crap did it Rain a lot!

So we had this torrential down pour yesterday. It dropped 13 degrees in an hour(from 27c to 14c) and at the end of it the sky opened up and blanketed SW Ontario with a clusterfuck of massive T-storms. I was in an interview when it all went down so missed the 1st installment but caught the second set on my way home. Gotta say white shirts and torrential down pours are arch enemies! So after the rain subsided we went out playin in the Jeep. Mud is Fun! Check out my photoblog for pics of the event!

Buzznet!

So Amber Won!

Well that is better than Boston Rob, that's for sure, but gimme a break, proposing on the live show? Mind you I guess they shared everything else on national TV might as well share that too! Really makes me wonder if anything is sacred in life anymore. It's weird as a woman I have had my wedding planned out since I was like 5 or so and only a few things have changed but the basics remain the same. However there is one thing that I have no ideals about and that is how I will be proposed to. I never want to take that away from the guy, nor do I ever have the intention of doing it myself. There is one thing for sure though I wouldn't want it to be on national television, you would never have any privacy in your life together. Is that really a solid way to start a life together?

Unlearn

I have this desk organizer that has been on my desk for years which has had a sticker on it for about the same amount of time. There is a website on this sticker that I have never been to until now! Check it out!

Sorry

Sorry I haven't blogged a lot lately, it should pick up again. Just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to all the other moms in the world.

On a note that burns my Butt!

Rob and Amber in the final of Survivor All Stars! screw that.
Why is it that on a game that requires people to Out Wit, Out Smart, and Out Play it is always the dumbest that end up in the final?
Even though Rupert did not win the Million I think he won it morally! Go Rupert!

And from my amazing boyfriend

I got a dozen red roses and dinner out. Originally I had asked for bike tires, but the roses meant way more. Muah thank you Chris.

As rumor Has it....

It is my birthday. Yes the last one for me in the 3rd decade of my life. Although I have not actually been born yet I am sure that 29 years ago my mother was cursing at my father and swearing that she would never do this again. But in about 3.5 hours she saw my pretty little face and then 18 months and 4 days later did it again... Hence the reason I am not an only child!

So as the day has gone so far.... I called in sick... For those of you who are not up to speed, working @ GoodLife is nothing like Living the GoodLife. As it turns out it is a rather shitty place to work, unless of course you are one of the members of the popular crowd in high school, then you lack of intelligent brain cells keeps you on an intellectual equal playing field. In otherwords, best off to be blond and ditzy to remain on staff there. So they have not formally fired me, but my job is on the line. any way back to my birthday...
so far I have, gotten a card from my Grandmother, always on time..., went for tea with the Google Master and then came home to a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from the Poohfoot family. So far the day is going very well. More later
