Midwife Appt today...

So we met the second midwife today... Her name is Celeste, she is as awesome as Lisa :)
I am really happy that I am with a midwife instead of an OB, all the appointments are actually like a visit with a friend, and some basic prenatal stuff.

So here are the particulars of today

BP... 110/75
Baby's heartbeat... 140 to 150
Fundus... measuring 20cm right on track
Weight... up 7 lbs in 4 weeks total 16 lbs so far!

During the appt we went over the results from the ultrasound again and it turns out that I will be having another ultrasound in 6 weeks, apparently they couldn't get a clear shot of the heart and want to have another ultrasound just to make sure that everything in A. O. K. There is an up side to all of this, maybe Chris will get to be at this one!

So other than that everything is completely normal. It is weird to finally be classified as normal... Can't say I get that label too often!

In other news...

Today was really friggen hot we hit a high of 28 C that is insane for London in April! Since the average temp for this time of year is 12!

The Verdict is in...

So yesterday I hit the 20 week mark in this pregnancy. 1/2 way there :)

We had an ultrasound, it was amazing! To see all the moving parts and know that this little bundle of joy has 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 of everything else that it should have 2 of and 1 of all the things that there should only be one of, is a huge sigh of relief.
The heartbeat was registering a strong 148 bpm from the cutest little 4 chambered heart I have ever seen and this kid did not like to have pictures of his/her face taken. Every time the tech tried to get a shot of the face, his/her hands moved in front of it...lol two stubborn parents create one very stubborn little kid :)
We did find out the gender however there is only a 65% chance of it so we are keeping it a secret. The reasons are obvious to some and not so obvious to most. The main reason is that I know people want to shop, and shop for gender specific items, but 65% is not big enough odds to give anyone the go ahead to buy blue or pink. So for those of you who still feel compelled to buy gender specific colours, be careful! Oh an BTW, if you are thinking it is a girl and feel compelled to buy pink, keep in mind I hate the colour pink, always have. Blue and green and yellow really are my favourite colours and like I said to Chris, until this beautiful bundle of joy can tell me what colour he/she likes then it is the colour of my choice.

SO here are the photos for your interpretation... Enjoy

I need a new home ...

Prrrrrrr! Posted by Hello

SO as you all know my Mommy is excpecting a new baby, and there is not enough room in this place for me and a baby so I need to get out of here.
If you catch what I am saying, I am looking for new digs. I am the center of attention and am not about to share my domain with a baby!
So if you want me I am free :)
Just a little about me...
I am fixed and friendly, and come with all the necessary garb...(travel light eh!)
I love EVERYONE! If you are wearing black I will love you even more.
I love cuddling and kids and the crazy red dot that I find randomly on the wall & floor from time to time. I am low maintenance but high attention... if you are home I want to be near you, on you or around you. I like TV, books, movies, music and all things human. My favourite place to sit is in the window, and I have even been known to hang out with other cats. I loved to be brushed and I like to play box too!
I am apparently a purebread Maine Coon, but I am not too snotty about my pedigree.
I really love my Mommy, she loves me too, but I understand that it is time for me to move on... this little being that she has growing inside her needs all her attention and I understand that.
So if you want me send her an email at peapanne@hotmail.com and put Mr. Burns in the subject line.
Once again thanks for your time.
Mr. B
